Describe the project.:
Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) are a key strategy for scaling TAC Security’s Canadian operations. This project will involve identifying cybersecurity startups and established players in Canada, analyzing their business models, and shortlisting acquisition candidates.
The project will involve:
- Conducting secondary research and database analysis of Canadian cybersecurity firms.
- Evaluating business performance, financial health, and product alignment.
- Benchmarking against TAC Security’s product roadmap and market objectives.
- Designing evaluation scorecards for acquisition suitability.
- Preparing due diligence reports and recommendations for leadership.
Interns will gain exposure to the intersection of strategy, finance, and cybersecurity industry innovation. Their work will directly inform TAC’s M&A strategy, shaping the company’s growth trajectory in Canada.
Required expertise/skills:
- Finance, strategy, or business analysis background.
- Understanding of valuation methods and due diligence.
- Research and analytical skills.
