About the company:
Clinnecta is a Canadian digital health company dedicated to empowering individuals and families to better manage their health information. Patients and families frequently face challenges navigating the healthcare system, as information is often dispersed across numerous providers and care settings.
Our mission is to make health information more accessible, organized, and actionable. Through a secure and intuitive platform, Clinnecta enables individuals to store, track, and share their personal health records with confidence. Patients can conveniently manage medications, appointments, and their medical history, while also having the option to securely share this information to support coordination of care.
By bridging the gap between patients and providers, we aim to foster a more patient-centered healthcare experience. Clinnecta enhances communication, reduces administrative stress, and supports individuals and families throughout their health journeys.
Describe the project.:
This project will be carried out in two key phases.
Phase 1: Application Development and Testing
The first phase involves developing a secure, intuitive mobile application for iOS and Android that allows individuals to store, manage, and share their personal health information. Key features will include appointment scheduling, reminders, medical history consolidation, medication management, symptom tracking, and secure information sharing with family members or a designated power of attorney (POA).
After development, the application will be tested with a representative group of users to evaluate functionality, usability, and data security. Feedback will guide refinements and ensure the platform effectively meets user needs, establishing a validated foundation for the next phase.
Phase 2: Innovation
This project introduces scanning software within the mobile application to allow patients to capture health information using their phone. Users can scan medication labels, prescriptions, test results, blood work, and other documents. The software automatically extracts and categorizes the information, while users can review and confirm the data before it is saved, ensuring accuracy and control over their records.
The candidate’s main tasks include developing the scanning and data extraction functionality, integrating it into the app, and testing its accuracy and usability.
The methodology will combine agile development, user-centered design, and iterative testing. Character recognition and machine learning will be used for automated data extraction and categorization, with user feedback guiding refinements to optimize performance and usability.
