Describe the project.: 

Digital Link is launching a new nationwide telephony service called Digital Link Voice, designed to provide reliable, scalable, and affordable communications solutions for businesses across Canada. To support this launch, the company aims to rebuild its public website and strengthen its digital brand presence. This project, titled Digital Link Voice: Website Launch and Product Branding Initiative, focuses on modernizing the company’s web platform, enhancing user experience, and developing creative branding materials to position the new service effectively within the market.
The intern will work closely with Digital Link’s web and marketing teams to design, prototype, and launch the new WordPress-based website, incorporating responsive layouts, clear navigation, and visually cohesive branding aligned with Digital Link Voice. They will also assist in creating promotional graphics, optimizing web performance, and ensuring brand consistency across digital channels.
This project will allow Digital Link to establish a strong national presence for its telephony offering while improving its online visibility and lead generation capabilities. The outcome will be a professionally designed website and a cohesive visual identity that communicates the value of Digital Link Voice, helping the company scale its marketing and client acquisition efforts across Canada.

Required expertise/skills: 

● Front-end fundamentals: HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript for layout tweaks and component behavior.
● Graphic design: Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator (or Canva) to create web graphics, icons, and promotional assets.
● UI/UX basics: responsive layout, clear information hierarchy, wireframing in Figma/Adobe XD, attention to readability.
● Brand consistency: apply brand guidelines, colour/typography systems, and component libraries across pages.
● Performance & quality: image optimization, basic page-speed tuning, cross-browser/device QA.
● Accessibility awareness: alt text, contrast, keyboard focus, and clean semantic markup.
● SEO fundamentals: on-page structure (titles/meta/H1–H3), internal linking, and basic analytics tagging.
● Content updates: build landing pages for Digital Link Voice, organize sections, and format copy for clarity.
● Collaboration: work closely with marketing and IT; accept feedback, iterate quickly, and meet deadlines.
● Communication: clear written updates, ability to explain design choices to non-design stakeholders.
● Organization: manage a simple task board, track revisions, and maintain asset/file structure.
