About the company:

Nightingale is a contract seating manufacturer based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. They design, manufacture, and distribute seating solutions for a variety of markets: commercial offices, healthcare, hospitality, conference/meeting rooms, guest seating, and specialty applications.

Their product lines include ergonomic task chairs, executive chairs, conference chairs, lounge seating, stackable chairs, heavy-duty/24-hour chairs, and healthcare seating.

Nightingale is currently aiming to grow our business by expanding sales into current and new markets, upgrading our operations, and adopting digital technologies. This includes improving efficiency, modernizing systems, and enhancing customer service. These changes will help us scale sustainably and stay competitive in a fast-changing environment.

Describe the project.:

This project focuses on strengthening Nightingale’s digital marketing and brand communication systems through the strategic development and execution of a coordinated social media program. Founded in 1928, Nightingale is a Canadian furniture manufacturer celebrated for its craftsmanship, ergonomic design, and precision engineering. As the company continues to expand its presence across global markets, this project aims to modernize how Nightingale connects with its audiences online — reinforcing its reputation for quality and innovation through design-driven digital storytelling.

The main goal of this project is to build an integrated social media framework that enhances brand visibility, engagement, and conversion. This includes developing a structured content calendar, producing original visual and written content, and managing both organic and paid campaigns across platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok. The project also seeks to align digital communications with Nightingale’s marketing, sales, and product strategies to create a unified brand voice and experience.

The intern will work closely with the marketing team and creative partners to plan, create, and distribute content that reflects Nightingale’s aesthetic and values. They will engage directly with online communities, monitor analytics, and optimize content performance based on audience insights and campaign results. The intern will also assist in coordinating freelancers, managing digital assets, and ensuring all social initiatives adhere to Nightingale’s brand standards.

The methodology involves strategic content planning, community engagement, and performance analytics supported by iterative testing and reporting. The intern will gain hands-on experience in digital strategy, creative production, and brand management within a real-world manufacturing and design context.

Expected outcomes include a cohesive social media system with measurable engagement growth, streamlined workflows for content creation, and enhanced brand consistency across platforms. The project will offer valuable exposure to integrated marketing operations, storytelling, and digital communication strategy — strengthening Nightingale’s ability to connect craftsmanship with modern digital engagement.
