About the company:
14451031 Canada Inc. is a federally incorporated company specializing in blockchain software, with a core focus on decentralized financial (DeFi) applications. Since our incorporation in October 2022, we have designed and deployed proprietary on-chain systems for automated market-making and liquidity optimization across multiple EVM-compatible networks.
We are currently expanding our R&D scope to address the challenge of state fragmentation in Ethereum. Our flagship initiative is the DeFi State Engine (DSE)—a high-throughput, real-time data ingestion system designed to provide deterministic liquidity state to downstream applications.
Our mission is to bridge the gap between raw blockchain data and application-layer utility through high-performance, research-driven engineering. The company is led by Oluwatobi Femi, a specialist in blockchain systems architecture, who serves as Director and Lead Software Engineer.
Describe the project.:
Project Description: Blockchain protocols like Uniswap allow anyone to deploy a liquidity pool by creating a smart contract that maintains state and reserves. On a chain like Ethereum, this permissionless model has produced thousands of live pools, each with its own continuously evolving state. The fundamental challenge is: how can an external system discover all these pools, track their data in real time, process their updates across blocks, and deliver a synchronized, low-latency representation of this information to downstream applications?
14451031 Canada Inc. is developing the DeFi State Engine (DSE) to address this problem. The DSE is a high-throughput infrastructure designed to index and deliver DeFi state to power a suite of latency-critical applications. These include arbitrage engines designed to detect and correct market inefficiencies, swap routing systems for optimal trade execution, and real-time analytics tools.
Project Goals: The goal of this project is to advance, optimize, and scale the DeFi State Engine and its downstream systems by addressing the following research questions:
1. How can we architect an ingestion system capable of capturing the latest state of major DeFi protocols and broadcasting it to subscribers with sub-block latency, ensuring data availability before the next block is produced?
2. Once state data is ingested, what detection mechanisms allow us to identify market inefficiencies and execute balancing transactions fast enough to succeed?
3. How can we calculate optimal swap routes that maximize output for minimal input while adhering to the strict execution windows of a single block?
Required expertise/skills:
Systems programming (Go), Distributed Systems architecture, Ethereum/EVM mechanics,Graph Theory, Algorithmic Complexity analysis, and DeFi protocols.
