About the company:
At DesignTIME, we’re builders of technology, of teams, and of better ways to work. What began as an internal tool to help a structural engineering firm grow 20% year over year has evolved into a purpose-driven software company. We design intuitive systems that simplify complex business operations, so that firms can focus on what they do best.
Describe the project.:
DesignTIME Solutions is undertaking a comprehensive UI audit and optimization initiative for its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software platform. The goal of this innovation project is to improve the usability, visual consistency, and overall user experience of the software, ultimately making the platform more intuitive and efficient for end users in fast-paced engineering environments.
The intern will conduct a structured audit of the existing UI, identifying usability issues, inconsistencies in design patterns, and areas for improvement. Based on audit findings, the intern will propose and prototype redesigned layouts and interface components. Depending on progress, the intern may also participate in implementing approved designs within the software.
Key tasks include: reviewing current UI components against UX best practices, documenting findings in a an audit report, creating wireframes and high-fidelity mockups in design tools, gathering feeback from internal stakeholders, and iterating designs. Methodology will follow a user-centered design process and iterative prototyping.
