About the company:

HighPath is a Canadian software company used by businesses to identify, research, and apply for funding opportunities. Businesses that are on HighPath use it to identify investors, grants, banking products and more. HighPath is working to automate the matching and application drafting process to provide businesses with a single solution for running their funding process.

Our mission is to help 100,000 businesses across Canada and the US get funding in the next 5 years. To do this we are assembling a team of incredible software engineers, data scientists, and sales gurus to help build the next generation of funding software.

Describe the project.:

This project will focus on designing and building a full internal React web application connected to HighPath’s existing infrastructure. The goal is to create a centralized internal platform that aggregates operational data, improves visibility into key business metrics, and supports important workflows across the company.
The intern will contribute to the design and development of several key parts of this platform, including:
• An admin dashboard web app that serves as a central internal tool for company teams
• KPI tracking and reporting features that give leadership better visibility into operational and performance metrics
• User survey aggregation workflows that collect and organize customer feedback for review and analysis
• Secure internal administration tools that allow internal teams to make safe, controlled updates in support and operations workflows
• Customer support tracking features that help teams monitor requests, progress, and service outcomes
The intern will work across the full development process, including requirements gathering, workflow design, implementation, testing, and deployment. They will gain hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, Python, FastAPI, Axios, and AWS while contributing to a real production system.
To help the intern understand the full software development pipeline, they will work with multiple development teams across the company and receive structured onboarding, daily check-ins, mentorship, and regular code review. The completed platform is intended to continue growing after the internship and become a core internal tool for HighPath’s support, sales, and leadership teams.
