Describe the project.: 

FLIK Industries is developing the next generation of AI-powered emergency communications and aerial intelligence technologies to improve disaster response and public safety.
The objective of this project is to advance FLIK IQ, an intelligent analytics platform that transforms data collected from autonomous drone operations into actionable operational intelligence for emergency managers and government agencies.
The intern will support the research and development of machine learning algorithms, computer vision models, GIS integration, and predictive analytics capable of processing aerial imagery and operational data in real time. Research will also focus on improving emergency message deployment, optimizing drone mission planning, and generating automated decision-support tools for incident commanders.
Activities include:
• AI and machine learning model development
• Computer vision and object detection research
• Geospatial analytics and mapping
• Drone telemetry analysis
• Dashboard and data visualization development
• Performance validation using simulated emergency scenarios
The project will combine software engineering, data science, and aerospace research using an iterative development methodology including rapid prototyping, testing, validation, and continuous refinement.
Successful completion will produce new intellectual property, strengthen Canada's emergency management capabilities, improve disaster resilience, and accelerate commercialization of FLIK Industries' emergency communications platform.
