Describe the project.: 

Mainstream social media harvest personal data for profit, with little to no regard for the risks that lack of privacy entails for the safety of users and dissents located in authoritarian countries. We are looking for an engineering lead with a focus in cybersecurity to lead our development and validation team to ensure privacy-by-design of our social networking prototype. The goal is to enable secure communication and information sharing by strengthening end-to-end encryption, secure authentication, and authorization workflows. The candidate will also integrate security controls and cryptographic protocols throughout design, development, testing, and deployment.

Face à la collecte de données personnelles à des fins lucratives par les réseaux sociaux traditionnels, qui négligent souvent les risques sécuritaires pour les utilisateurs et les voix dissidentes dans les régimes autoritaires, nous recherchons un Responsable Technique spécialisé en cybersécurité. Ce profil aura pour mission de diriger notre équipe de développement et de validation afin d’implémenter une approche privacy-by-design sur notre prototype de réseau social. L’objectif est d’assurer des échanges et un partage d’informations sécurisés, en renforçant le chiffrement de bout en bout ainsi que les mécanismes d’authentification et d’autorisation. Le candidat sera chargé d’intégrer des mesures de sécurité robustes et des protocoles cryptologiques à l’ensemble du cycle de vie du projet, de la conception initiale jusqu’au déploiement.
