About the company: 

Lite-1 is leading the transition to more sustainable colours by developing a proprietary platform of microbial colourants using a biomanufacturing process.  We aim to remove all toxic, synthetic dyes and pigments from a wide range of markets including textiles, cosmetics, and food.

Describe the project.: 

With this project, we aim to begin the development of a digital solution to empower AI/ML Twinning of our fermentation process data to improve specific, production-based key performance indicators (KPIs) including growth, titer, and productivity.

The main goal of this project is to create a secure environment (private sandbox) where we can input process data and leverage an AI companion to analyze data and formulate recommendations on how to improve KPIs.  We will iterate on the complexity of this system throughout the project and add additional functionalities such as visualizations.  We will need to create and host a user interface (UI) to support use of this pipeline by Lite-1 team members.  This UI will need to be approachable, intuitive, and user-friendly.

The selected candidate will be responsible for creating the organizational structure for this workspace in silico, testing it to ensure functionality, and iterating on direction from Lite-1 team members to improve performance.

Required expertise/skills: 

The candidate should:

• Be familiar with biomanufacturing processes and parameters relevant to microbial fermentations
• Be proficient with coding solutions such as Python and R
• Be proficient with webpage creation and UI development

Have excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
