Au sujet de l’entreprise:

The Bentway works to ignite the urban imagination, using the city as site, subject, and canvas. Anchored under Toronto’s Gardiner Expressway and guiding its complex future, The Bentway is a not-for- profit powered by vital partnerships with the City of Toronto, artists, neighbours, supporters, and other city-builders who believe in the possibilities of public space.

Since The Bentway opened in 2018, it has proven to be a vital backyard park, a cultural platform for artist experimentation, and a growing creative movement. In partnership with the City of Toronto, The Bentway is creating a network of public spaces, developing a cohesive vision for wayfinding, and reconnecting the waterfront to the downtown core. Each summer, The Benway puts on a season of public art and events at their spaces in downtown Toronto.

Veuillez décrire le projet.:

The Bentway Conservancy is seeking a skilled Project Manager within Urbanism, Landscape Architecture and Transportation Design, to lead the Implementation of key projects within the Under Gardiner Public Realm Plan, on behalf of the Bentway Conservancy, in Toronto.

The Under Gardiner Public Realm Plan is a 7km urban vision aimed at enhancing connectivity, safety, and environmental sustainability along the Gardiner Expressway. The initiative integrates planned and existing projects from Dufferin Street to the Don Valley Parkway (DVP), supporting Toronto’s active transportation network.

The project builds on the Bentway’s existing planning & design portfolio, and will offer a unique opportunity for project management innovation. The selected intern(s) will work with The Bentway Conservancy to build a structured project focusing on the procurement, management, and delivery of design services through external contracting with local designers. • Infrastructure planning & delivery models to manage project timelines and budgets
• Stakeholder engagement & collaboration tracking to streamline approvals and reduce project risk
• Review & consensus generation matrices to ensure project goals are met
• Adaptable feasibility frameworks that address critical hurdles that emerge through the design process such as costing, environmental, etc.
• Internal shareback to create project learnings and build internal capacities for future projects

This internship will provide work-integrated learning opportunities, equipping interns with deeper experience in project management, urban planning, and transportation infrastructure design. It also aligns with the BSI program’s broader goals, including fostering inclusive innovation, reducing risk in industry-academic partnerships, and strengthening Canada’s innovation ecosystem.
