Veuillez décrire le projet.:

1. What is the project about?
This project is focused on developing a Social and Environmental Return on Investment (SROI) framework for Assent’s solutions. While our products enable customers to make decisions with significant social and environmental benefits, these impacts are currently unquantified. The project will identify, measure, and communicate both the realized and potential impacts created through the use of Assent’s solutions.

2. What is the main goal of the company?
The main goal is to deliver a practical, evidence-based methodology and toolset that:
● Defines the social and environmental impacts associated with each Assent product/module.

● Provides a matrix of quantifiable metrics to measure these impacts.

● Enables the creation of a Social and Environmental ROI tool that allows Assent (and its customers) to calculate and report on SROI in a consistent and credible way.

Ultimately, this will strengthen Assent’s ability to demonstrate value to customers, investors, and certifying bodies (e.g., B Corp), while supporting our clients in their own SROI reporting.

3. What are the main tasks to be performed by the candidate?
● Conduct a review of Assent’s solutions (with support from internal “What We Do” documents and team leads).

● Identify and define impacts (social and environmental) created or enabled by each solution.

● Develop impact metrics that link solutions/modules to measurable outcomes, including beneficiary and stakeholder mapping.

● Address the challenge of “potential impact” (i.e., when customers or suppliers take action enabled by Assent’s platform), exploring methods to attribute and quantify these impacts.

● Draft a matrix of solutions and corresponding SROI metrics, with clear guidance on measurement and reporting.

● Provide recommendations on how to communicate results internally (Marketing, Sales) and externally (clients, investors, certifying bodies).

4. What methodology/techniques are to be used?
● SROI framework methodology (Social Return on Investment principles and guidelines).

● Impact evaluation techniques: stakeholder analysis, beneficiary mapping, theory of change.

● Environmental and social metrics development: alignment with sustainability standards (e.g., GRI, SDGs, B Corp requirements).

● Mixed-methods approach: combining quantitative tools (e.g., life cycle assessment (LCA), environmental indicators, economic valuation) with qualitative methods (case studies, customer interviews, best practice benchmarks).

● Attribution modelling: approaches to separate Assent’s role in enabling impact from customer-driven actions.

Expertise ou compétences exigées:

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of impact measurement expertise, analytical ability, and communication skills. A strong grounding in sustainability, ESG, or program evaluation is essential, with familiarity in frameworks such as SROI, GRI, IRIS+, SDGs, or B Corp standards. The candidate should understand how to design and apply theory of change, stakeholder mapping, and attribution models to assess both realized and potential impacts.

Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills are required, including the ability to gather and analyze data, convert outcomes into measurable indicators, and balance rigor with practical application. Familiarity with environmental assessment tools (e.g., life cycle analysis, carbon accounting) is an asset.

Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets is essential for metrics and matrix development; knowledge of data visualization software (Power BI, Tableau) is highly desirable. Experience with coding or statistical tools (Python, R, or similar) would be an asset, particularly for scenario modeling and tool prototyping.
