Veuillez décrire le projet.:
This project aims to co-develop a novel sensor-based system to capture real-time customer feedback within commercial washroom environments. In collaboration with Conestoga College, the initiative will design and deploy hardware sensors that collect user input, paired with a data platform that enables actionable insights for facility operations teams.
The candidate will serve as the primary interface between the academic team and industry stakeholders, ensuring that technical development aligns with operational requirements, scalability expectations, and enterprise IT standards. They will define system requirements, validate sensor outputs, and contribute to the design of a data architecture that supports secure, reliable data collection and integration.
A key component of the project involves designing a dashboard that translates raw sensor data into meaningful performance indicators (e.g., cleanliness perception, usage patterns). The candidate will work with product and IT teams to ensure the solution meets security, privacy, and data governance requirements, including considerations for data storage, access, and system interoperability.
Methodologies will include applied IoT development, user experience considerations, data modeling, and system integration. This represents an innovation in service delivery, shifting from periodic inspections to continuous, data-informed decision-making in high-traffic environments.

Embedded systems or IoT sensor development (hardware/software integration)
Data architecture and API-based data integration
Experience with dashboarding tools (Power BI or similar)
Basic UX/data visualization principles
Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
Optional assets:
Experience working with academic or research partners
Knowledge of data privacy and IT governance best practices
Experience deploying and testing physical sensor systems
