Au sujet de l’entreprise:

Simply Sweet Games is a Canadian, women-founded game studio building premium, inclusive word-puzzle games for global audiences. The company develops ad-free, accessible, and thoughtfully designed casual games, with a focus on wordplay, player trust, and inclusive design.

In addition to its flagship product, Criss Cross Castle, Simply Sweet Games is exploring partner-integrated digital media experiences that use word games to make editorial, educational, or branded content more interactive. The company is interested in whether lightweight, content-aligned word games can help media and content partners increase reader engagement, repeat visits, newsletter signups, subscription interest, and audience diversity.

Veuillez décrire le projet.:

This applied research project will support a 4- to 6-month pilot integrating an interactive word-game prototype into a media client’s website or a comparable digital environment. Simply Sweet Games is collaborating with the Centre for Digital Media to develop the initial prototype. The next research challenge is to understand how a content-aligned game can be implemented in a real media environment and measured against meaningful business and audience engagement outcomes.

The main goal is to generate knowledge and commercialization evidence about whether interactive editorial word games can increase reader engagement, repeat visits, audience capture, reader diversity, and subscription-related interest for media partners. The project will help determine whether this type of experience can become a repeatable partner-facing product for media, education, or branded content organizations.

The candidate will support pilot planning, technical integration, analytics implementation, KPI tracking, user behaviour analysis, and case study development. Key tasks may include defining implementation requirements, supporting web embed or integration planning, mapping data handoff between the game and partner website, creating an analytics event map, identifying relevant KPIs, analyzing pilot results, and documenting technical, editorial, and commercialization learnings.

The project will use applied research methods including stakeholder consultation, technical requirements mapping, digital analytics design, KPI framework development, user behaviour analysis, and pilot evaluation. Depending on partner constraints and available traffic, the project may compare different placements, calls to action, content themes, or puzzle formats.

Target KPIs may include time on site, session depth, related article click-through, game starts, game completion, repeat visits, repeat play, newsletter signups, account creation, subscription interest, demographic signals where available, qualitative user feedback, partner satisfaction, and integration effort.

Expected deliverables include a pilot KPI framework, analytics event map, technical integration notes, pilot data analysis, partner-facing case study, and recommendations for future iterations or other media partner pilots.
