Project Overview & Major Objectives
This innovation project focuses on engineering the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for a specialized B2B digital marketplace serving Canada’s agricultural and bioenergy sectors. Having already established the core regulatory methodology and calculation workbooks with our consultant, our objective for this collaboration is to translate these static models into a functional, scalable MVP that automates compliance and data-sharing under Canada’s Clean Fuel Regulations (CFR) and provincial LCFS standards.
Rather than building an all-encompassing enterprise platform upfront, this project targets the rapid design, development, and validation of three core MVP modules:
1. Automated CI Calculation Engine: Converting our internal workbook logic and formulas into secure backend RESTful APIs that ingest field-level farm data and return real-time Carbon Intensity (CI) scores.
2. Privacy-Preserving Audit Layer: Building an MVP access-control architecture that generates verifiable compliance reports for regulators and biofuel off-takers while strictly shielding growers’ sensitive agronomic and financial data.
3. Core Traceability & Premium Tracker: Engineering a streamlined web dashboard that records low-carbon crop batches through the supply chain and computes CI-based price premiums for growers.
Methodology & Tasks
The candidate will lead the technical software development and deployment of the MVP:
• Architecture & Technical Design: Translate existing calculation workbooks into database schemas, API contracts, and responsive web application wireframes.
• Full-Stack MVP Development: Code the frontend interfaces, build calculation execution services, implement role-based security, and establish automated PDF/data compliance export features.
• Pilot Deployment & Validation: Test and calibrate the MVP using actual grower and grain elevator pilot datasets to verify calculation accuracy, performance, and usability before scaling.
Expertise ou compétences exigées:
Saas development, Python
